Learn how to create your first documentation space.

Sign in to GitBook

Start by signing in to GitBook. If you used the previous version of GitBook and already have an account, you can use the same credentials to login to the new version. If you don't have an account yet, sign up and create a new account.

Create an organization

You need an organization to create a space. If you don't have one already, you will be able to create one and create your first space in the process.

Start by creating an organization if you don't have one

Follow the steps and you will be brought to your newly created space.

Legacy Notice: What was called a "book" is now called a "space". One project often translates to one space. If your organization works on several independent projects, then you can make a space for each one. To make your reader's life easier, avoid unnecessary splitting of a project's resources in several spaces.
