How do I transfer an organization to a different account?

You might create an organization under the wrong email address/GitBook account.

Suppose it's still you but just a different email address. In that case, we suggest that you change the email address of your current GitBook account instead—that way, you avoid having to add multiple users to an organization.

If that is the case, and you want to transfer that organization to a different user, you need to add that user account to the organization.

All you need to do is add that new account/user to the organization.

If you are an admin and add a new user, you could also remove any unnecessary members from the organization.
